I really wanted to like this, but it was too boring.

I love Andy Cohen, BravoTV and all things pop culture. I kept trying to get through this, but it wasn't very interesting. This is the same format as his last book. Besides his day-to-day diary of his daily activities and which celebrities he hangs out with, it didn't have much more to keep my interest. It was apparent he was trying to keep from giving too much info about his celebrity friends and gossip, which is more interesting than his diary & daily schedule. I kept putting it down from lack of interest.

Wanted to love it...but

First let me say, I love everything Bravo so I was going in a fan and wanted to love it. But it was a little overhyped and if Andy wasn't over himself by the end - I was. It becomes whiny in places where no one can possibly be empathetic. (Sorry, not sorry Andy that your closet is palatial)?

I kept expecting tales of fun escapades or crazy housewives adventures. Doesn't happen. It's a daily diary of who he saw & where - but nothing salacious like I thought. It's good if you enjoy Bravo & Andy but it's not everything I expected. I wanted so badly to love, but came away with like.

I really enjoyed Andy's last book

I really enjoyed Andy's last book, but this one is too much----too many unknown names (even though some of them like SJP, Anderson, Kelly, Mark, DVJ, etc. can be deciphered), too many marijuana "lollys", too many trips to bars, restaurants, parties, men, etc. I almost gave up halfway through this book, but soldiered on until the end. I hope this will be the last diary and hope he has at last found happiness with the Brazilian Andy Samberg and will, at some point, realized how very fortunate he is to live such a charmed life. I really like Andy Cohen, but he has definitely reached a point of very "shallow" and not very "deep".

The treaties had many defects, yet they also served the goal of conservation to good effect, often saving key species from complete extermination and sometimes keeping the population numbers at viable levels. It is because of these treaties that Africa is dotted with large national parks, that North America has an extensive network of bird refuges, and that there are any whales left in the oceans. All of these treaties are still in effect today, and all continue to influence nature-protection efforts around the globe.

Drawing on a wide variety of primary and secondary sources, Mark Cioc shows that a handful of treaties—all designed to protect the world’s most commercially important migratory species—have largely shaped the contours of global nature conservation over the past century. The scope of the book ranges from the African savannahs and the skies of North America to the frigid waters of the Antarctic.

Fun problems, complex brain teasers.

Random problems that have not so intuitive solutions. I found it really interesting, but don't expect to learn how to program an AI, that is not in the scope of this book.

Ancient tecnologies that we think are modern

This is another book by David Hatcher Childress but on a more serious and involved subject than the book about SW North America. In this book Mr Childress gives us information about the astounding technology of really early civilizations. If you are ready to realize that there were highly involved cultures before us you will enjoy this book. Are we the first to have electricity, flight, atomic energy, and other technology that we consider "Modern"? Read this book for the truth as presented by Mr. Childress.

Would like better pic's

I did not finish it yet, but the content is very interesting, some topic I new already from other author or books, such Erich von Danicken and Coppens. But If you are just coming in to this interesting field of ancient knowledge from ancient human civilization is a good beginning. Also I just mention 2 author that you can go for it.

What I did not like at all about this book is the really poor quality on the images or pic's. Some of them maybe are picture from the 40's or more!... not in color at all.

I really think that if you put a image or picture to give a better idea, trying to build a clear and better idea on the mind of your reader off what are you describing in 10 pages, the better you can do is show a really good quality picture, try to impress me!!!..well that, is not happening in this book.

This is great stuff if you're into investigating thought on how ancient peoples not only were able to solve some incredible engineering problems, but the consistency of practices over diverse cultures that had no contact with each other. The real question is: how was any of this possible?
